Background of Mobile Truck Safety Specifications

Mobile Truck Business in Malaysia began in 1998 during the Commonwealth Games when Malaysia hosted the event. It started to grow in the early 2000s.

Mobile Truck Business has now become a trend in urban areas and is continuously advancing. This is due to the changing lifestyles of urban residents who are increasingly busy and have limited time to meet their daily needs.

Mobile Truck Business allows traders to provide services more quickly at locations designated by the Local Authorities in a relaxed, urban, hype, and easily accessible environment for the public. As of 2019, there were 15,000 mobile trucks operating throughout Malaysia.

Due to incidents of fire and explosions involving operating mobile trucks that have claimed lives, caused harm, and damaged public property, there is a need to protect the well-being of all Malaysians. In addition, considering the government's plans to advance the Mobile Truck Business sector in the future, the Malaysian government acknowledges the necessity to plan and reorganize the mobile truck business to create a safer, more regulated, and standardized business environment.
